This challenge focuses on getting whole families involved. This is not a kid’s program. It is so powerful when parents lead by example and memorize with their children!
Whole Churches!
This challenge is designed to change church culture. Imagine a culture where it is just as normal to memorize Scripture as come to church!
Why Do You Need the Bible Memory Challenge?
It works. When we started the Bible Memory Challenge, we weren’t sure if many people would be interested in memorizing whole books of the Bible. People love it! Of course we can’t take any credit for that. It turns out that the Holy Spirit is alive and well believers giving us a desire for the kind of intimate relationship with Scripture that you get from memorizing it. Jesus said, “My sheep hear my voice.” Many Christians believe in memorizing Scripture, but its really hard to find the time and motivation to get started. The Bible Memory Challenge is all about getting you started. Everyone is motivated by different things, and so we have set up the Challenge to incorporate as many different motivations as possible. Here are some of them:
- Money – Let’s be honest, some of us are just motivated by money.
- Peer-pressure – For those of us who are just doing it because everyone else is doing it
